Diogo Moreira has an extensive career in higher education. He has held administrative positions at the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave (IPCA) and the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo for over 15 years. He has also been Secretary-General of the European Council of Student Affairs and Services, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Gil Eanes Foundation.

At IPVC, he is responsible for the Project Management Unit and has also coordinated different technical structures at this educational establishment, as well as the ‘IPVC OCEAN’ programme.

He was one of the key figures in establishing the Centre for Technology and Innovation in Ocean Energy and Technologies (SUSTEMARE), as well as in defining IPVC’s vision for the blue economy, ocean energy, and technologies.

He has led numerous national and international projects in innovation, technology transfer, information systems, and renewable energies.
