Director-General for Maritime Policy since October 2022, with a focus on strengthening Portugal’s position as a leading voice in international ocean governance, bringing together public policy, innovation, and sustainability to foster a more resilient and competitive blue economy.

Holds a degree in Chemical Engineering, a Master’s degree in Sanitary Engineering, and executive training through the PADE programme at AESE Business School. Currently pursuing a PhD in Public Administration at ISCTE, specialising in ocean governance. In 2025, appointed Ambassador of the SDG Alliance Portugal, with particular responsibility for advancing SDG 14.
