Ricardo Ferreira is graduated in Energy and Environmental Engineering from the Faculty of Science at the University of Lisbon, he began his professional experience in the air conditioning and water heating sector, designing projects for residential and commercial use.

He later participated in the development of innovative flexibility and energy storage projects, before joining the Portuguese Renewable Energy Association (APREN), in 2022, as an energy policy and market intelligence analyst.
